Adding a 24/7 resident amenity without adding staff
Yes, a micro market or a smart cooler can run without a new employee. Residents tap a card or phone, take what they want and go. Your leasing desk does not open it in the morning or close it at night. The work that remains is ours: install, stock, monitor and service.
What residents are asking the lobby to do
A lobby that already has mail, a desk and a path to the elevator can also hold something to eat or drink after the nearby shops close. That is the amenity. Nobody is taking orders. Residents use it overnight, with nothing for your staff to run.
Digital is sized for apartment lobbies. Classic fits a mailroom or a break room when the lobby cannot spare the depth. Open Market fits a busy amenity floor that can take a kiosk, a cooler and a wall. Sizes are in the format comparison. We help you pick the one that fits. We do not start by adding headcount.
Can it run unattended
It is built to. Payment is the lock, on Classic and Digital. Someone authorizes with a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or 365Pay, the door opens, and closing it completes the sale. There is no cash to empty and no tip jar to watch. Open Market uses the kiosk instead of a single door, and it still does not need a clerk.
Unattended does not mean ignored. Remote inventory tells us what is running low. If a charge looks wrong, or a door does not behave, the resident or the manager emails hello@smartvendingpros.com. We are locally run. Restocking, remote monitoring and service are within 1 to 2 days in Los Angeles, Orange County and the Inland Empire.
Who restocks it
We do. After hours, or whenever suits the building. A restock in the middle of a leasing tour is a bad restock. A restock after the lobby has quieted down is the normal plan, and we say so up front. We set the mix for each building. Fresh food is available on request.
Your team still has a role, and it is small. Tell us if a resident complains. Tell us if a renovation is about to block the machine. You do not order the product, you do not count the facings, and you do not hold a key as the operating plan. If the agreement covers several buildings, that is still one team to call, not a new vendor per community.
What has to be true first
Steady daily traffic. A lobby with almost nobody walking through it will not support a market, and a free rendering will not change that. We visit, measure, check power and signal, and tell you honestly if it is a fit. There is a minimum. We don't print the number. A unit count without the path people walk is not enough.
There is no upfront cost. It plugs into standard wall outlets. Classic uses two. No electrical work is needed. The machines run on built-in cellular. No Wi-Fi is needed. Profit share, for a busy building, is often about $150 to $800 a month, set with you from the property type, the traffic and the estimated revenue. You see the machine in the room, in a rendering, before it is installed. Talk, visit, rendering, then install and stock. Nobody staffs a counter. We carry liability insurance. A certificate is available on request.
