A hand signs an agreement on a light oak desk beside glasses and a plant.

Questions to ask before you sign

Ask what you pay, how fast they service, who restocks, and who is responsible if the machine is damaged. Ask for the agreement, not a summary from a webpage. This page answers the parts we can stand behind and leaves the contract clauses in the contract.

Cost

Ask if there is an equipment invoice. Our answer is no upfront cost. Ask what you still pay. You provide space and power. It plugs into standard wall outlets. Classic uses two. No electrical work is needed. The machines run on built-in cellular. No Wi-Fi is needed. Ask how profit share works. Ours depends on property type, traffic and estimated revenue, set with you. For a busy building it is often about $150 to $800 a month. Ask them to say that in the agreement, not only on a call.

Ask whether a quiet building is being quoted like a busy one. If the number does not move when the traffic changes, do not trust it. We will not quote the share before we know the property. Ask for high-level sales reports on request so you can see results later. We make those available.

Service

Ask how fast someone comes. Our answer is within 1 to 2 days for restocking, remote monitoring and service, in Los Angeles, Orange County and the Inland Empire. The same clock in all three. Ask whether that is a hope or the standard. It is the standard we state. Ask how you reach them. Ours is hello@smartvendingpros.com.

Ask who restocks and when. We do, after hours or when it suits you. Ask how they know what to bring. Remote inventory tells us what is low. Ask what happens if a resident or a guest disputes a charge. Email us. We handle it as a service issue, not as a favor from your front desk.

The building

Ask what they need from the room. Space, power and signal. Sizes are in the format comparison, and the visit checks are in what we check on a site visit. Ask to see it in the room before you sign. We send a full rendering, free. A provider who will not visit is asking you to guess.

Ask what traffic they require. We require steady daily traffic and we do not publish a number. Ask whether they walked the property before naming a number. Ask them to tell you no when it is a no.

Liability

Ask who carries insurance. We carry liability insurance. A certificate is available on request. Ask who owns the machine. We do. Ask who pays if there is a fire, or if a product spill damages a floor. Read the agreement. The wording belongs in the document you sign. If a salesperson shrugs, make them point at the paragraph.

Ask whether one agreement can cover several properties. Ours can. Each property is still judged on its own. Then ask for the brochure, read it, and book the visit if the building is real. We don't publish customer names, and we don't guarantee a monthly check.
